GOOD BURGER is a burger-focused venture from the team behind Tender Cow and Mumma's Fried Chicken — two Manchester & Cheshire market-hall favourites known for treating meat with a bit more respect than most.
After a decade spent perfecting beef and fried chicken for hungry crowds at Mackie Mayor, Market House Altrincham and beyond, we decided our burger deserved its own platform. Not a side dish, not a special — its own menu, its own stall, its own mascot with sunglasses.
Our mission is simple: give you a high quality burger at a good good price. Aged beef, proper brioche, a sauce worth the hype — no nasties, no messing.
Three things we won't budge on
Our beef
Our aged beef patties come from Swaledale in Yorkshire, who we believe are quite possibly one of the best butchers in the country. All our patties are handpressed by the team on site.
Good price
We keep things simple and our menu small, meaning we can focus on quality for a good price.
Clean eating
We're not interested in burgers full of slop. Just quality ingredients with classic toppings.
Same team, same standards
If you know Tender Cow or Mumma's Fried Chicken, you know what to expect — properly cooked meat, cooked by people who take it seriously, served without any fuss.

One home in a Macclesfield food hall, one on the concourse at The Etihad. Same standards, wherever you catch us.

Our permanent home — a converted 1911 cinema turned food hall, with nine kitchens under one roof, an outdoor undercover terrace, and always a table free.
